Tonic. Hawthorn berries contain flavonoids that
can act beneficially on the heart/cardiovascular system
and connective tissue. This formula is considered a restorative
and nutritive tonic for the heart.
Contents:
Hawthorn berries, Motherwort flowering herb, Bilberry leaf, Chinese
Ginkgo leaf, Indian Gotu Kola herb, Ginger root and Sea Kelp in
a base containing concentrated Alfalfa leaf extract. 15 to 30 drops
3 times daily with last dose just before bedtime. Recommended to
be taken for 6-12 months consecutively for best results. Not recommended
if nursing or pregnant.

berry (Crataegus sp.)
Actions:
Cardiac tonic, hypotensive.
Common Use: Hawthorn
berries provide us with one of the best tonic remedies for
the heart and circulatory system, they act in a normalizing
way upon the heart by either stimulating or depressing its
activity, depending on the need. In other words, hawthorn
berries will move the heart to normal function in a gentle
way. For best results hawthorn is recommended to be taken
for 6-12 months consecutively. Inform your doctor of your
hawthorn berry use if taking Digitalis medication.

Motherwort
flowering herb (Leonurus cardiaca)
Actions:
Cardiac tonic, sedative, nervine, antispasmodic, emmenagogue.
Common Use: The name
of this plant show its range of uses. 'Motherwort' shows
its relevance to menstrual and uterine conditions (due to
its alkaloid content) while 'cardiaca' indicates its use
in heart and circulation treatments (due to its glycoside
content). It has been shown to calm palpitations and normalize
heart functions in general. Recently, Motherwort extract
was shown to inhibit myocardial cells, improve mesenteric
circulation and increase coronary perfusion, in other words,
to improve several aspects of coronary health. As a nervine
this herb is particularly effective in treating menstrual
and uterine conditions, especially those influenced by anxiety
or tension such as delayed or suppressed menstruation, menopausal
changes and false labor pains.

Bilberry
fruit (Vaccinium myrtillus)
Actions:
Antiseptic, astringent, circulatory, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory.
Common Uses: Bilberry
contains over 15 anthocyanosides which help to maintain
the integrity of capillaries, stabilize collagen and are
also potent antioxidants. Numerous clinical studies have
shown Bilberry to be effective in the treatment of circulation
disorders, varicose veins and other venous and arterial
problems. Bilberry has also been promising in dealing with
vision disorders, helping with eye strain and visual acuity,
retinal disturbances, day and night blindness, myopia, pigmentary
retinitis and diabetic induced cataracts. Studies have also
shown that Bilberry can act as a coadjutant in hemo-ralopy
and diabetic retinopathy and can stimulate rhodopsin production.

Ginkgo
leaf (Ginko biloba)
Actions:

the most interesting herbs of the last few years, Ginkgo
improves brain function, including memory and alertness,
protects blood vessels, im-proves circulation, and is a
powerful antioxidant. Also acts on a wide range of vascular

studies have also shown Ginkgo leaf to "correct erection

Kola herb (Centella asiatica)
Actions:
Tonic, depurative, diuretic, alterative, adaptogen, circulatory
tonic.
Common Use: Gotu kola
is useful as a brain food to rebuild energy reserves and

stress and improve reflexes. It is known to relieve high
