Horsetail Grass (Equisetum arvense) aka Shavegrass
Actions: Astringent, diuretic, vulnerary.
Common Uses: The essential element, silicon, is present in very large amounts in Horsetail. Silicon is necessary for the body to properly utilize calcium. People shown to have calcium deficiencies may not deficient in calcium at all, but rather actually lack silicon in their diets, thus not properly utilizing calcium resulting in deposits. 10 to 20 drops to 3 times daily. Avoid use with anti-hypertensive drugs.
