Osha Root (Ligusticum porteri)
Actions: Expectorant, antiviral, antibacterial, diaphoretic, bitter.
Common Use: Osha is known as a strong antibacterial herb and is warming to the mucous membranes and digestion. An excellent herb for treating viral infections, producing thorough perspiration and elimination of toxins. Also for bronchial inflammations and sore throats, the root will anesthetize almost immediately, with expectoration. 15 to 40 drops 2-5 times daily or as needed.
